Four Point Inspection
A Four Point Inspection is a specialized type of home inspection that focuses on specific areas of a property that are commonly required by insurance companies. These inspections are typically required when a homeowner is trying to obtain or renew insurance coverage.
During a Four Point Inspection, our certified inspector will evaluate the following areas of the property:
The Roofing: An examination of the overall condition of the roof, including the age and remaining life expectancy, as well as any signs of leaks or other damage.
The Electrical System: An examination of the wiring, panel, and grounding system to ensure that it is in safe and proper working condition.
The Plumbing System: An examination of the water supply and distribution system, including faucets, fixtures, and drain, waste and vent systems to ensure that they are in good working condition.
The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system: An examination of the age and condition of the HVAC system, including the furnace and air conditioning unit, to ensure that it is in safe and proper working condition.
Based on the findings, the inspector will provide a report detailing the condition of each of these systems, and any recommended repairs or replacements. This report can then be provided to the homeowner's insurance company to help determine insurance coverage and rates.
